About me
About
Hey there! I'm Ala, and I fell in love with product design in 2021 during my graduation project. Watching a sketch transform into a real interface for the first time? I was hooked.
After graduating, I dove into freelance work to test what I'd learned in the real world. In 2022, I joined the SignLingo mobile app team for my first proper 'inside a product' experience, collaborating with developers to shape flows for actual users. Shortly after, I co-founded Hexaflex Dev Agency, a small but ambitious studio where I built UX processes and design culture from scratch.
Around the same time, I completed Google's UX Design Professional Certificate to strengthen my foundation. It gave me structured skills in research, accessibility, UX laws, and iteration that still shape how I work today.
Now in my mid-20s, I've gone from those first wireframes to designing complete product experiences, from e-learning platforms for kids to fintech solutions and AI products like HykoAI. My software engineering background means I'm equally comfortable in Figma and talking technical feasibility with developers. I love being the bridge between business goals, user needs, and what's actually possible to build.
For me, design isn’t just a career. It's the magic of making technology more human, trustworthy and meaningful. Every new project is another chance to achieve this a little better.
What I bring to the table
I help teams transform from ambiguity to clarity by designing system level experiences that balance user needs, business goals, and technical reality.
Career
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse array of clients and organizations, from renowned companies and agencies to innovative startups. I've helped them turn complex problems into seamless user-centric products. I believe great design happens where empathy meets clarity, and every detail tells a story.
